CHIMNEY RELINING

After thoroughly cleaning every chimney, a visual inspection is performed to insure the system is safe to use. Should the examination turn up defects such as misaligned or cracked flue tiles, there are three things you can do:

1. Tear the entire chimney down and have it rebuilt by a masonry company (which is the most expensive option).

2. Reline the chimney with a one piece stainless steel liner for a third of the price of having it rebuilt...... and a relined chimney may actually end up being safer and more durable than a tile-lined one! The stainless steel liner that Chimney Cricket offers comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

3. Install a fireplace insert. This option is more expensive than a reline but if you prefer more heat from you're fireplace it's worth the extra $$$. Repairs are usually NOT needed prior to installation.
